Synopsis
Genre: fiction. a young man enters an elevator. He presses the ascent button. What is going to happen to him on the way to its destination would be a dream for everyone. He's not going to miss it out.
Comments by the composer
This is a very musical project. The music should replace the lack of dialogues and at the same time, it should be smooth and without cuts, as the whole short film is a sequence shot. For this reason it is pervasive throughout the film. The structure is as follows: the lift (or elevator) has a motif as well as every person who enters it, I resound it in different musical styles. To describe the characters I used different styles from lounge music, punk-rock, house, Latin music and the Neapolitan Tarantella. The instrumentation used was piano, bass, electronic databases, flute, distorted electric guitar, male and female voices, alto sax, matófono (instrument that sounds like the trumpet), congas, Spanish guitar and sounds effects such as keys and a cigarette lighter lighting up as a percussion for Tarantella.
