" All the better to eat you with "

Synopsis

Genre: 3D animation. Years have passed and Little Riding Hood is no longer the innocent girl from the universal tale. Tired of hearing the same story, she has returned for revenge, and this time she is not going to let a hungry and clumsy wolf ruin her plans.

Comments by the composer

My challenge in this film was to make soundtrack centred on diegética music, as this was closely linked to the sound effects. To do this, I used guttural sounds for the characters, such as whistles, body percussion and whispers for sound effects. The musical structure was as follows: a musical motif represented the story. The wolf, being the winner of the story we know, has a motif, which is snatched by the arrogant Little Riding Hood at the beginning of the short (and we'll never listen to the wolf with music or singing a melody again, but Little Riding Hood will instead have this privilege). From that moment, each time we see Little Riding Hood or something related to her, we'll hear the motif in different versions. To conclude, in the final credits, I did a hip-hop theme in two versions, English and Spanish, sung by Little Riding Hood and forest dwellers. I also take part making the voice of the wolf in both versions. The voice of the wolf modulates sharply in contrast to the voice of Little Riding Hood which is serious and linear.
